A KIDS LOOK UP AT THE WORLD
- Who: Daniel would actually shoot from the perspective of small children
- What: He is trying to capture the pov of kids 4-10(?) of the media around them - how do they see billboards, political advertising (in as much as they see that sort of thing), newspaper front pages. What is the media literacy and experience of todays children...
- When: Can he capture a "day-in-the-life" - they say we experience 3000 marketing messages daily. What is that like for a child...
- Where: Pick three markets - one that has a ton of media (e.g. NY or LA, one that presumably has little (e.g. Hays, Kansas) and one wild card.
- How: DANIEL MUST SHOOT FROM A CHILD'S POV - THAT MEANS THE CAMERA MUST BE EYE-HEIGHT FOR A CHILD. What do they see and hear?
- Why: Forget the multi-year studies of how media may or may not impact kids. Let's ask them and witness for ourselves what they actually experience and think about.... john bell 09/07/2006
