i wonder whether we want to concentrate less on the subject of the videos and more on the rules.
we should not be trying to force him into journalism.
the trick of course is how we collectively decide on somewhat arbitrary rules.
where is the game aspect - ie. the challenge for both Daniel and ourselves?

-daniel uses text a lot in his videos, so perhaps we can collectively come up with some text that will act as a sort of script.
so for example a ten-line text that is shaped by this wiki.

-how can we create rules that force Daniel to interact with people without having to choose the kind of people. so for example, walk outside and approach the first person you see wearing a hat.

-place decided randomly. role of die or algorhithmic walks - like three block take a left, one block take a right.

-creatures. search out the wildlife on a single city block.

more as i think of them...

i was thinking that it might be interesting to get Daniel to create something that had a life beyond the vlogosphere. a sort of relevant experimental doc with a unique production process...

A documentary (in seven parts) on the culture of oil. what spaces in american life best exeplify the culture oil? car parks, malls, mcmansions...
