when i think of daniel's work, i think of windows and trains. i know we want him to get outside his comfort zone, but i think we should put him on a train looking out a window. the difference and challenge is for him to have other passengers narrate. so, a train trip across the US in one week. seven stops determined by the people he meets. that could mean a recommended place or person to visit or getting off the train with the passenger as a guide. or we could all determine the stops along the way. or place could be determined by a roll of dice.

  • Who: Portraits of passengers
  • What: Reflections on moving vs. staying put, travel vs. home
  • Where: Seven train stops across US.

I like the idea of the traveller. It would be interesting to set it up in such a way that the trips happen one right after the other with Daniel not knowing where his next assignment will be. Something nomadic about it. An adventure. Also, I think that interactions with locals at the various destinations (or fellow travellers, as Will says) would be very interesting. --Anne - filter

I definately like the 7 train stop approach.
Trains... yeah.
